    chicken bucket list

Oh my gosh, I've never heard of those before and I adore them!! As for my own bucket list.. wow, does the list ever end?? Stripper Silkies, German Deathlayers, Appenzeller Spitzhaubens, Fayoumis, Sultans, I just recently added Thuringians to the list because they look like a mutt chicken I saw...

7 week old Silkie sex guessing

honestly, for silkies I'd still say too soon to tell. They tend not to lay until around 7-8 months iirc

What Breed is this Mystery Guy from YouTube? So Pretty!!

No, he's just singing-- I figured would be easier to get an answer (or close to one) here than on a popular singing account. I was pretty sure he was a mutt but if anyone had any for sure ideas about it I wanted to hear lol

What Breed is this Mystery Guy from YouTube? So Pretty!!

Hey all, like the title describes I am curious what the hell this guy is. Just a mutt of some kind? The barring is fascinating... idk what I'd even call his coloring! Please, any pointers on breed or what his coloring genetics would be! Thanks!

    Blue Eared Breeds?

Woah... all very neat info. So seems like blue ears are not a common enough thing for multiple breeds, but common enough that lineages can experience them anyway

    Blue Eared Breeds?

Me neither! That's why I came here to ask because aside from Silkies I can think of literally no other breed with blue lobes in their SOP

    Blue Eared Breeds?

Thanks! I thought Mosaics weren't a real breed-- more of a designer mutt. Am I mistaken? But neat about the genetic part. I've had Cream Legbars with blue ears before.

    Blue Eared Breeds?

Lol no it's a common trend! Red ears = brown, white = white, blue = blue. But Silkies don't lay blue eggs either! :p

    Blue Eared Breeds?

Yeah, I remember that too, but Ameraucanas have red earlobes. Pretty sure it's not an actually linked trait, just common trend.

    Blue Eared Breeds?

I'm stumped. I saw a mix recently with blue ears but they're claiming that the bird has NO Silkie in them at all, and I realized I cannot for the life of me think of any other blue eared breeds... anyone know more than Silkies? I tried sleuthing the internet but keep getting blue egg breeds...

    Making Friends, Meeting Peeps

Aww, well I'm glad that it was all planned out and you have chickens in your future. I recently secured my new apartment and I'm soo nervous, haha. Far away from my family and about 2 hrs from the friends I've made in college... idk how to make friends outside of work as an adult lol.

Pine pellets for coop bedding??? Does it work?? I'm curious....

In my experience pelleted cat litter SUCKS. Soooo horrible to use and clean, very wasteful too bc hard to avoid getting clean pellets out.

I thought I knew what type of chick I had.

Sorry, nothing helpful to contribute. That's neat! I thought Cinnamon Queens usually had a little "collar" so to speak. Can they not?
