i got the peppers picked. there were a lot more than i thought there would be. i can start moving the tubs to their winter quarters . these 60ish temps are my kind of temps. i think i will have bro Dave help me with it. will save me from hopping on and off of the tractor a hundred times. -

the fields are cleaned up around us, too. now I suppose the coons and skunks will be able to find their way back from the river bottom. today i will pick the peppers, supposed to freeze tonight. will start cleaning up the raised beds. i have to move them to their winter spot so we can plow snow...- jvls1942

well, when i am reincarnated, i wouldn't mind coming back as one of your dogs. but being a truck is out of the question. Annie and her sister are spending the day doing stuff. I will be home alone. maybe I will start cleaning up the raised beds . have peppers to pick. supposed to freeze tonight. -

Helpful hints for building coops
this is one of my radishes that i raised in rabbit manure in the raised beds. the big green grape is for comparison. the radish was not hollow, woody or wormy. i don't like the skins so i peeled it. it was mild with a sweet taste.- jvls1942

I used a 3gal waterer. no heated base. instead i had a small electric heater with a fan. i directed the fan at the heater. the heater kept the water from freezing and it also kept the coop from getting extremely cold. for my ducks and geese, i watered them outside in all types of weather...- jvls1942
