    Sebrights?

I have two seabrights that think they are people and I need to get them in the coop by winter. They are currently perching on garage door opener cables and enjoy the "ride" . I want my garage back by winter. Do I lock them in the coop with the rest of the birds like with guineas?

If you are looking for guineas check out breeders list on guineafowl.com. There was a breeder in Maine a while ago. I get my keets from Brooks Farm and Feed in Brunswick. I don't know if they are still taking orders-it was the way I didn't have to buy 25! That would be a lot of noise LOL.

Review by '' on item 'Rhode Island Red'

had a RI red that was queen of the coop. She passed away at 8 1/2 years. She had given her window seat to her chosen head chicken about 3 months before she died. She was gentle to all the new girls as they came except for her window seat.

Are you willing to let out where or who the swap was with. I sure don't want to end up with the same night mare problem. Guess I will never keep a swap in the house to quarentine.

    I got the bugger!!!!WARNING-GRAPHIC PIC

Rabid coons are a growing problem-in northern Maine the wardens are trying pellets with a rabies vaccine in them out in the wild. Still won't help my chickens. A dead raccoon is the best raccoon. Nice hat too.

Can a Scarecrow work with Hawks? Any useful Suggestions?

Yep A covered pen area is what you need. When the hawks and eagles are bad up her I keep a small air horn in my pocket when I am out with the birds. I blast it right at the hawk and then get my birds back in the covered yard for the rest of the day. Sorry about your lost chick. I have lost...

New Englanders! Much ado about New England!

Hi Moxiechick-welcome to the 'hood. You will find tons of chicks all over southern Maine come spring. I recommend buff orps for their winter hardiness here in midcoast Maine. They are the first out of the coop after a snow, like today. I'll be shoveling them a path when the white stuff stops...
