I have a duck that was egg bound this morning I was able to message her and get the egg out but she still cannot walk or poop what could this be?? Thanks in advance
In my experience ducks tend to have growing spurts and when they do the tend to eat more. Once they become fully grown they tend to even out on there eating also when they go outside it helps on the Lessening of food consumption due to the fact that they can eat bugs&grass
I set these eggs Saturday may 6
These will be a mixed breed of rouen/pekin or rouen/alesbury
Temp has been 99.5-100.5
How can I get the humidity up I put water in and the humidity raised a little but not enough I heard that u was supposed to open one of the vent plugs for the hatch is this true?
I have 2 duck eggs in the incubator today is Tuesday and they have started a external pip but there hatch day ain't till Saturday will this be a problem?
In storeys guide to raising ducks it says that they lay 25-100 eggs a year my uncle got her from a flea market in Ohio we are in Indiana so no way of getting info from the one he got her from should she go broody this time of year?
OK.
Does anyone no about how old she is also is there any way of telling if she is laying she hasn't laid sense I have had her but I no that mallards don't lay many eggs
