I got mine a solar fan. I put it below the mister. It’s must be at least 10 degrees cooler in the coop or more with this simple hack. :cool: We are in Phx Az. Are temps here are in the 100s
I actually have a real good chicken sitter. She works with rescue animals. Has animals of her own. Also she is a good friend. I try to make the chores easy as possible. But she goes the extra mile anyway. You would think if someone has animals of there own they would be good sitters...
When I used to allow my ladies to be out and about all the time they would come to the back porch and “crow” because they wanted breakfast. Waking me up!

I experienced the crying in particular with a bantam roo I once had. He had been around a long time. The hens loved him. He was a sweet guy. I even heard them crow. Which they never did before. As if they were calling him after he was gone. :(
