Need some Advice about Brooding
I have two hens that are sitting on their nest. The nest is in the coop and I can see about 10 eggs under each one...guessing. I have had broody hens before and was not successful. I want to keep getting the extra eggs but I am scared that if I open the egg gathering box, they will both take...- kjxoxo1

I have thought about nipples but I am not construction savvy..... I can't build anything and don't know of anyone that can. I will look for that red waterer....is it as simple as attaching a water hose? I bought the blue waterer and I am having to return it. Not as simple as the online...- kjxoxo1

WOW!! i know you are excited! i cant wait to be a first time incubator.....which kind of incubator do you have? i have the Octagon40 but am hearing better reviews on the Reptipro so i am hoping to get the best one. I'm certainly no expert but coming from someone who is up baking a birthday cake and tired as heck.....but can't sleep.....call it a night and let mother nature take over especially if you have no heater.....what will you do with it. Hopefully your broody hen will take on some motherly... -

Any advice??
I just checked on them and they are doing great!!!! Im so excited!!! They were walking around eating and drinking. I cleaned out their home, refreshed their water, and also added more food. They seemed amazed at their surroundings...just looking around at the different noises...birds... -

yes i have them on game bird started and today i used a blender to make it smaller because i was worried they couldnt eat it. the are white turkeys. i got them from ideal poultry. I had to revive two, i must have just got there in time as they were all huddled. i then separated them into 6s... -
