Apparently not a brown leghorn haha

Who knows? I'd just be careful if you are expecting pure breeds from him. You could always ask him next time.

Does anybody know what breed this is?

I think probably an appelenzer spitzhauben mix. Her comb looks intermediate between a couple of different comb types to me. It is massive!

Apparently not a brown leghorn haha

He really should not be using hatchery brand names like Black Stars, Amberlinks or ISA browns, if that is the case. I'd be careful with him.

Apparently not a brown leghorn haha

With the list the breeder provided, I am guessing he or she gets chicks from a hatchery and resells them. The only thing that really fits your bird is Easter egger. They can lay any color of egg. If the breeder is actually breeding from his own flocks, then you have some kind of mixed breed...

    BSL vs black Australorp?

I can't tell if there is a beard or what comb type, yet, myself. Easter egger is a possibility. Time will tell.

    BSL vs black Australorp?

BSLs usually have some brown on their faces, so I am going with Australorp.

Sexing 5 weeks old. CUCCO the Malines mix?

They won't be sex linked. I'm guessing 4 is a male, but it is a little early to be sure yet with these.

    Wyandotte Hen Quality Opinion

This website has some pictures of some good laced red Wyandottes, especially in the 2019 section. https://www.northstarpoultry.com/blue-laced-red-wyandottes.html

    Wyandotte Hen Quality Opinion

This appears to be a splash laced red Wyandotte to me, not blue laced red. I think she has good body conformation. She should weigh around 6 and 1/2 pounds as a hen, so that is one thing to look at. Her feathers look to have the right amount of fluffiness to me. Color wise, there are a couple...

    Goodbye aart

I didn't know, either, until I saw this thread. I noticed the absence but sometimes people just take a break from BYC. I am sad to learn Aart has passed on. She was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed her posts and learned from them. She seemed like a very decent person...

    Rooster ID please!

Probably an olive egger. The other looks like a Dixie Rainbow.

The 'wisdom' of Reddit: "It's completely fine to give your chickens French fries"

Moderation is key for pretty much anything. Tomatoes are sugary and chickens don't need the vitamin C. As snacks they're fine but not as a major food source. But I think that's obvious to everyone. I do find it strange that people would give fries to their chickens. I never have them at home...

    Is this a pullet?

This bird is definitely a cockerel. You can see male specific feathering by his tail. The slim, pointed red feathers there. Red shoulder patches usually mean a cockerel, but not always. There's really no easy way to tell when there's an exception to the rule. Be sure to look at more than one...

    Little dude found dumped

He or she looks fine to me. Better than I'd expect after that kind of trauma and neglect. Quacklet is doing a great job.

    Hens or roos? Breeds?

    1, 2 definite girls 4 probably a girl 5 definite boy 3 probably a boy

6 Weeks and 8 Weeks- Thoughts?

You're welcome. I appreciate you, too. I hope you end up with lots of pullets.

    Pullets,4 weeks old? Coulor prediction

Himalaya is cuckoo with silver leakage. Honolulu is cuckoo with gold leakage. Helena is blue so far. She might get gold or silver leakage when her hackle feathers come in. Himera, Hermionia and Hera are all black with gold leakage. They're of mixed color genetics but these are the colors I...

6 Weeks and 8 Weeks- Thoughts?

I think the red shoulders combined with the raised red comb at 6 weeks is enough evidence to say the Easter egger is a cockerel. The Silkie I am less sure about. It does have some comb development, but not enough to say it is for sure a cockerel. Unfortunately, with Silkies you can't judge by...

Make or female Polish… 12 weeks

Tough call. I think I see some pointed crest feathers, so I'm gonna guess male also.
