My leghorn chick born last night has this. My son keeps saying "help him feel better mom."
Where do you get this selenium?
Someone also suggested n iron polyvinyl visol?
Please let me know.
Thank you very much
I just had a similar hatch with legs spread apart, one backwards leg, no leg joints and one three unable to hold up their heads.
I used a Brinsea which pretty much regulated everything.
I put down shelf liner in the incubator before placing the eggs for lockdown.
Any advice as I have my second...
I know this is an old post but I'm searching for self blue Silkies.
I have one and it's my favorite out of 30.
I live in Abington, MA.
Thank you very much!

I'm using a 20 gallon fish tank. Is the 250 bulb going to be too much?
The tank is long but only 18" wide.
Getting them tomorrow. I have three week olds in a big puppy playpen but was told to keep then apart and can't get another Brinsea heat plate by then and it's costly to run two brooders...
Today was the first day the chicks were able to stay out for the day as it wasn't too hot and I finished enclosing the yard.
I was shocked at how friendly they were outside. We sat down and were able to hold them and even feed them corn.
I think they feel trapped when we walk in the coop.
