    Here's a thought. Like 1' wide panels with maybe six inches between them. Space between plenty big enough to use hand / arm to tend to garden, but small enough to prevent them from hopping in. Could make panels as tall I want. Just an idea...

    Thanks. Good point on not having an attractive landing spot. I really don't want one pen around all four. Would make mowing a real pain. I was just going to use six uprights per planter, and then wrap them in likely chicken wire. Se the "red" in the picture. They wouldn't think to land on...

    Thanks. No rooster(s) on site. Even with broody hens, 3 days and warm temps I won’t worry about it. The main reason for concern is that we give away most to friends and family. Sure would hate to get somebody sick or even just provide them with a gross experience.
