Hello all!
I have a hen who is acting strange. She looks as if she has to lay an egg, however there is no discharge and no egg stuck in her butt. She ruffles her feathers and is very slow. I think its EYP based on her poop (from the chicken chicks poop chart). It looks like milk with undigested...
I have had extreme feather picking in my silkie and polish and on the backs of all my girls. I know the cause and will be getting a larger coop in a week or so. However what are some home made remedies that help stimulate feather growth and bring my girls back to optimum health. Thanks
I fixed my hens vent about a month ago and it keeps coming back. How do I prevent this? I would keep her isolated and get all the poop out and push it back in with hemorrhage cream and vetericyn. What am I doing wrong? Is this effective?
I got baby chicks yesterday from my pet chicken. I only wanted three so I got the hatch of the day so that I could get what I want and give the rest to my uncle. I got two polish babies and have no idea what color they may be based on what they should look like on the website. [/IMG] thanks!
I ordered babies from my pet chicken and I was wondering time line wise when they are coming. Are they hatched Monday and shipped on Tuesday??? The website didn't give me a direct answer.
Well the babies are bantams like her so I was hoping that when there are more banties with her they might calm down. However is there anyway to stop this bullying?

I need help guys. So all my other chickens have been seriously beating up my little silkie. I am getting chicks next Monday and I was thinking that to protect her from further injury just putting her in the brooder with the babies. Is this a good idea? I know it's hard to discipline chickens but...

I have a silver laced Wyandotte that is the big, top hen. She has always been semi aggressive by keeping the five others in check. However lately she has been a bully. Other than her sidekick, a buff Orpington, all my other hens do not have feathers on their back and she is...
