Mine all have their own names as well. But as a group I call them "The Girls".....lol I know very original. I am also known to call them "Boogers".
Individual names are.....

A week ago I moved my now 8 week old RSL chicks outside to the coop/run. I put a divider up between them and my Silkies mainly to keep the chicks from eating the Layer feed until I could guy some general flock feeder.
Anyways the Silkies were pretty freaked out the first day. More afraid than...
I plan to buy General Flock Feeder for my Silkies today so that I can roll up my divider and not have to worry about my 8 week old RSLs eating Layer feed. I was wondering though. Should I still buy a bag of Grower for the chicks? Will it matter if the Silkies eat any of the grower? Or is the...

Yup there is really nothing that can be done. My dogs love chicken poop. I figure my birds are healthy so it won't hurt the dogs. Not that I want any puppy kisses after seeing what they snack on lol.
So I know mites/fleas are going to be bad this summer. In fact I have had to flea treat my dogs a month earlier than I usually would because the fleas are already jumping on them. So I made sand/DE bathing pits for both my chicks and adult Silkies. I also sprinkled it on the straw bedding...
