Well, my first hatch was a total bust :( ugh I feel horrible for losing all those chicks! They were shipped and stopped growing at various stages. My incubator was steady the whole time. But, I will succeed at hatching! Set some this morning, this time in a paper carton with the bottom cut open...
Whereabouts? I grew up in the suburbs of Cleveland! I don't know about feed though. I am sure that somewhere near me does, I go back to Cleveland often because my parents are still there. I could always try to find what you'd like here by me and bring it to Cleveland when I go there! :)
Ugh, my chicks are due on the 4th. Went to candle and lockdown.... No movement at all. Dead chicks :( first hatch ever, wonder what went wrong :( only have 2 in the bator, and those are questionable
I feel awful
Ugh, my super duper awesome flashlight that is my husbands is missing! I need to to candle before lockdown! Ack!
Last time I did I thought they had stopped growing :( but need to check and be sure! I will have another August hatch also as I have eggs on the way! Lol addicted!
Oh no!
I think out if my eggs that are set and due aug 3rd all but 1 or 2 stopped developing :(
I candled thus afternoon, but I am going to re candle because it wasn't really all that dark and hard to see.... Fingers crossed there are more that are ok!
I agree. This is my first hatch, and while I am watching closely, I am not stressing over every detail. If chickens can do it in nature with crazy temp/humidity differences with the weather, surely we can too!
