    Seems to be a lot of birds molting hard this year. I saw one of my EE today was nearly naked. Yours has some good fluff on her. She is very pretty even without most of her feathers.

    Better pictures would help. They are a bit blurry. The buff has a wide comb so I think it's a male. The splash has a larger comb, so I think that's a male too. The white I can't quite see.

    We use something similar to cover my bantam run, and they work well. Just make sure it isn't airtight. You want good ventilation so moisture doesn't build up and cause frostbite.

    Few warm days here again. Had to run the air conditioning. Trying to keep the doors and windows closed. The yearly invasion of the Asian lady beetles has begun. Hoping they move on, and not too many get in the house. Hate those things.

    You should always allow chicks to free feed. I doubt it's fat at that age. It probably just have thicker down.

    She's also good for showing what they look like under all those pretty feathers. Hopefully she gets hers back soon.
