The crucita started blooming a few days ago. It doesn't attract the large butterflies like the Gregg's mistflower but it's very popular with the smaller butterflies and tiny pollinators.

Last weekend we went over to the island via ferry, hadn't done that in awhile. Weather was great, dolphins were frolicking (sorry, couldn't get a picture of them) but did get a couple of pelican pics 🙂

I would like to make a fall trip to the north eastern part of the country sometime to see the trees turning. Just seems like it would be glorious to see in person.

Some of the deciduous trees in the area will turn yellow-ish with the shorter days, then drop leaves.
Lot of the others are stay fairly green until we finally get a hard enough cold snap, then they turn brown 🤣
