Nothing to be ashamed of imho. But please do look for info, how to prevent a red mite infestation, before winter comes to an end. These bastards thrive in our climate with mild winters and warm humid summers.
And that is???
Please add this info in your profile:
Here in the Netherlands its stormy too. Biut its only the coast region that got a serious warning.
Agree on this part,…. at someone else his property. It’s not something I want for myself.
Hadn’t really thought about the other points (breeders /heritage breed).
Edited a little bc I was to eager to respond.
I never compared myself with a dwarf.
Snowwhite was no role model either because the cleaned the dwarfs house all the time.
The stepmother was awful. The king was stupid to merry the stepmother. I don’t like to kill game. That leaves the prince on the white horse as only option. Clever to...
Sure.
Laughed at too (in a friendly way) when I moved to the other side of the country. For about a year it was my Trademark to make silly language mistakes.
Learned the so called General Sophisticated Dutch quickly.
Many years later my children made comments too when I was in my home...
Very hypothetical.
But I might put a few world leaders with many deaths on their account , and extreme polluters who try to destroy our climate for profit, on my haunt-list. Love to make them completely and utterly insane until they ask for forgiveness or commit suicide.
This does sound like broody behaviour.
You probably missed her pre-broody behaviour. Hens do lay very good and start to sit off and on the gathered eggs before they sit all day and stop laying.
I’m not a fan of rescue ex-bats anyway, bc the breeding programs made egg laying machines of chickens. All for a 20 months before trey are turned into soup chicken, animal feed or UPF.
The health problems lots of these production hybrids encounter after being saved are probably more than I wish...
Janice, a bantam mix between Dutch (mother) and Naine de Tournaisis (father).
She never moulted so poorly before.
Its obvious she is not feeling well. Poor thing. I hope she gets over it quickly.
The chicken in the back is a bantam Amrock who came running by when I made the photo. 😆
