Typical broody raised chicks, they are antisocial until way later. All of my keepers this year were broody raised, and they're pretty chill now. My roo is also broody raised and a very respectful good boy. Sooo, you're gonna have your hands full of goats🤣
There is always room for a good steak and wine! We had salmon last night because Saturday I put an 8lb pork butt in the crockpot and this is how out next 4 meals went:
Dinner-shredded pork, potatoes, carrots, onions, gravy and biscuits
Breakfast Sunday-Chopped pork hash (pork, potatoes, eggs...
I try and keep things healthy (most of the time😉). It's just me and the hubs, so this year I'm making a white lasagna (Alfredo instead of marinara) Cesar salad, asparagus, and garlic bread.
Dinner tonight- Salmon (seasoned with turmeric, ginger, mild curry, garlic and pepper)
Hash-Squash, kale, cherry tomatoes, brown rice, quinoa, bacon and garlic.
Hash dressed with a little feta
Salmon dressed with some fire honey
Side of avacado 😋
Some pics from today
Thelma 🥰
Langdon-He went through a light molt and now has some over coloring on his chest
This little turd is always wandering around looking for who knows what
Update on the eggs; a gal who has a bunch of my blue wheaten OE's requested some WM to do back crosses with, so there are:
2-Ermine left (zero development in the other 4)
6-BBS Marans
7-WM
3-Blue OE (I had to know if these chicks would hatch blue and black😂)
Lockdown is Tuesday
I've named the nutty blue OE Sameen, she was a badass ex operative in a show we were watching and a total nut (perfect fit🤣) This lady is a beast in the laying/broody departments!
