    Vet may be an option, she jus tins thinking her husband will be okay with it. She doesn't know for sure yet.

    Do this for now, and don't wrap or cover the wound, but after dabbing with a paper towel, cover the wound, or edges of the wound in Neosporin, or antibacterial ointment.     That makes sense, you should ask at least, if its not an option, then the best thing you can do for her is possibly to cull, there are worse things then death

    Make sure she is separated, in your house, and make sure flies don't lay eggs in the wound. Keep her in a stress free environment, where it is warm. It is VERY important she is inside, away from flies, where ever there are flies eggs, there are maggots.

    I understand the worry about rinsing. Take a syringe, and squirt, saline, iodine, or warm soapy water at the wound sideways, to avoid shooting water strait down in the puncture. Once it is rinsed out, Clip the feathers away form the wound to keep it clean, cover the wound with Neosporin, or...
