I have sometimes used starw it is ok but they also try to eat it , like the pine flakes. I mostly just use pine flakes. I have never had one choke or die from them. some people start out with puppy pee pads and have good success.

me personally I am against breeding crested ducks because so many of them have terrible problems due to the deformity of their skull and endangered soft brain tissue under the poofy pretty looking crest. There are many opinions of people on this site. That is just mine.
