We went through sooo many curriculums! It was always confusing. 😅 Dozens of them for different subjects each. The most consistent was probably using Tapestry of Grace for most of our Literature and History, though History switched up a couple of times.
I did have to do the CAT. Ohio laws on testing recently changed to be a lot more lax, but I had to do it every year until I turned 18, then I was legally exempt.
That's great. I just wrapped up doing two classes at a private Christian school, and I was having a hard time fathoming how little it seems we covered. So much wasted time. It was still a good experience though, a unique social experiment for me.
So how has homeschooling been treating you? I'm interested to hear your thoughts on it.
Sorry it's been a couple of days, lol, a lot of us pop in and out of being busy.
That's really neat! I have a friend who used to do dog shows years ago. They sound fun, we've just never been a big "dog" family, though we do have them as pets.
Im getting some more stuff wrapped up. I've got government, literature, and math to do mainly. The rest of my summer will be putting around with the Stranger.
I did horse based electives a few times, that was great fun. Health, training, and horsemanship.
Level 11 solar storm!!! What a beautiful world God created. I haven't seen any northern lights since I was four or five, and it was nowhere near as vibrant. In 2003, a solar storm of the same level wrecked several power grid functions in Africa. :O
So I've been told! I do enjoy the lakeside, but I've never been one for warmth, sun, or salt. I prefer the freshness of the Great Lakes, and the cool shadows in the valleys where I live.
I have never had the opportunity. Older sister saw the ocean once on a mission trip, and that's all I've heard of it. I'd love to go to Chincoteague and Assateague Islands sometime, maybe in the future my Stranger will indulge me in that. :D
