We used to eat the stalks dipped in sugar. Just don't eat the leaves as they are toxic. And the red rhubarb variety is sweeter than the green, however, they both need sugar
It's only slightly tart. The strawberries and 2 cups of sugar help to cut the tartness a great deal. It's the ideal summer combo, strawberries and rhubarb. I make a strawberry and rhubarb jam that is pretty amazing too(if I do say so myself)
Yesterday, what made me happy was having a 50th wedding anniversary party for my parents. Everything went very well and us six girls didn't argue. There were a few tiffs but nothing major
