Sadly my Bbb hen has had worst wounds then that fom the tom trying to breed her. I would say she'll be just fine especially with the level of care she is receiving.
If at all possible fix it! I have no clue how to fix it though. Im in south central ID and hatched one out 5 weeks ago and never did get his leg fixed. He is stunted in growth but is happy and healthy and gets around. If your close toIdaho falls there is a chickenstock at the fairgrounds there...
I found a hen after she disappeared for a couple days stuck behind a stack of drawers in a shed. When I set her down she staggered around , almost drunk like. She had some explosive poo right after that. I got her to eat and drink. I'm hoping this is just due to being confined unable to move...
I have a 3 day old chicken with spradle leg. It only affects one leg. I've had it in a braces since it hatched. It hasn't really improved. The chick actually got around ok when I removed the brace . It held the splayed leg up a just hopped around on a foot. I'm wondering if it doesn't improve...

I got my turkeys with the intent to butcher them. I even called the poultry butcher about 5 times, but they never answered or called me back. So here I am with two friendly turkeys who I will not butcher myself. My hen started laying this week, not viable eggs of course. I won't be able to eat...
I live in a area with TONS of birds of prey. Hawks, owls, eagles you name it we have it. Oddly enough I haven't lost any body . I think it is because my chickens have lots of things to run under.
I ordered some heritage poults from cackle a couple of weeks back. They should be here in May. The pant was the only thing that made me think they were in poor health. They free range for their food most of the time so they don't get fed too much. Eventually I'll bucther them because of the fact...
