Ooh, what a surprise. Look at all those eggs!!
When Bobbi Porto of https://indigoegg.us/ texted me Tuesday that she shipped my 2 dozen eggs, I didn't say a word as it's been so long waiting I didn't want to jinx it. But the P.O. called this morning at 6:05 a.m. to tell me they were there...
Yup, we have two Brinsea 56EXs and to clean them thoroughly, we need to take the two parts of the lid apart. I use a can of Dust Off to get a lot of it in-between cleanings but have to take it outside to do that.
Thank you. She was so sweet. She and the one he attacked last night were sisters to each other and to HIM! They all grew up together, yet all he wanted to do was kill them for whatever reason as he power-pecked their heads. He'd have killed the 2nd one had I not seen it and caught it in time.
I use peanut butter jar lids, one for each brooder. The only "treat" they get is wet crumbles (mash) and they love it!
When they get about a month, I'll give them some chopped up scrambled eggs but the first time they never like them much. You have to remove them shortly after if they...
I'd get an icecream pail or something like it and put equal parts of water and white vinegar in it, then once mixed, add a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide. That'd disinfect and is safe.
Or, a bucket of hot soapy water, and another one of clear water for rinsing.
Good luck!
Hiya, Aimee, and welcome to BYC!! :frow
3 large gardens? That makes me tired thinking about it. We've got one large one and still aren't finished planting it. :old
Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! :frow
We just had to put a rooster down as when it started killing a hen we caught in time, we realized that's the one that killed that hen's sister two days prior. I knew it was a rooster that killed her but just wasn't sure which one it was as none were...
Congrats on curing the bullying!!
Sure, I'd give them some but not too high of a pile that they can't scratch it up as if it's fresh, it's damp so probably will mold. They'll eat some but I think have more fun scratching in it. Ours and millions of chickens free range and get as much grass as...
We have a 20-gauge and not to be gross but hubby was so mad at the rooster in the link I gave above that he shot him with it and it took his head right off.
Otherwise, to ever "catch" the uncatchable chicken, just go in the coop at night when they're roosting. They can't see but you can bring...
