Talked to vet today and we do have issues with m-worm around here. Thank you again. I'm bringing her in today for steroid. Hoping we caught it in time but I'm kinda worried we didnt. Heading out now to see how she's doing. Apparently it will probably get worse as the worm load dies. I...
After reading more and watching some videos I'm almost positive its the worm. Thank you @cassie once again. Going to talk to vet tomorrow about it and see what he thinks. He should know how common it is in the area and if he'll do a steroid for swelling.
Just to see if my reasoning is correct. At the very beginning I thought polio right away but the only symptom is the back legs weakness and walking sideways. She's not depressed shes eating drinking and pooping fine. She's not having eyesight issues or aimlessly wandering. And she's not...
Apparently it is located in my area. She doesn't have all the symptoms but she does have some. The wormer I gave her wouldn't have helped but I do have the kind here that would help.
Little guy that got into grain is doing better now. Was already trying to break back into the feed. I'm looking into the worm. It really looks like its something with her back legs. Hoping to get her in tomorrow. Nothing I've done is working. I didnt give her wormer right when it started.
And the one in the grain isn't really eating. He came out when I put out some fresh hay for a little nibble. What is cd/t? I started him on the a chloride today. Have him a does of b vitamins and I can start penicillin
Hey all. Hope everyone is well and you wonderful goat people can help me out. I have two issues and my very has been gone for almost a week. I have a 1 1/2 year old female showing what I thought at first were signs of thiamine deficiency. I have the rx here and have been treating her as well...
Right! My Violet is cute but I definitely wouldn't make myself vulnerable to her. I feel like if she saw me bent over touching my toes she'd definitely knock me over!
So today I'm wearing my "goats make me happy, you not so much" shirt at work and a guy asks me if I do goat yoga. I must have looked blankly at him too long because he starts telling me his daughter is charging people like 35 bucks an hour to do yoga while her 24 goats run around lol. Good...
Hi everyone! Hope your all well. My goats are doing great. So far winter hasn't been too hard for them. Couple of cracked hoofs and Stetson, the love of my life, has a cold.
So I think we're getting rid of Yoda. He's so mean I have to keep him locked up separately. He loves me but he almost took out my son yesterday. We're getting two more females so we can have babies next summer I guess. I'm feeling awful about it. I don't know how I'm going to go thru with...
Aaaaahhh. Can anyone tell me the possibility of a boy thats been castrated for a week getting a girl pregnant. I'm not sure if shes in heat and haven't seen them together. I don't even know if shes young enough or if that matters. Bud is impossible to keep locked up. We made the walls 6 ft...
Thanks everyone. Update on Shelby. She loves Stetson! Lol. She wont leave his side and he seems more interested in her then me for a change. She's settling in well. My other two boys that just got castrated pay attention to her through the fence. Still trying to get pics of her feet. We...
