My co-broodies this year are getting special leg bands because the one silver phoenix hen as done this twice and I know she accepts older chicks pretty readily. Shes my oldest silver phoenix hen. The one I named Star. If they can reliably keep doing this they may get a pen of their own just for...
One made it one didn't. Yesterday evening checked on them in the garage and now I'm missing the white one. 🫤 No body or anything so I don't know what happened.
One of the OEGB. The weird all white downed one. Was hoping to see what it feathered out to be. I've been paying a friend to come check them and water in the morning and at 2pm. She has her girls helping as well. Told her to take pictures in the morning and at 2pm and take a count. The babies...

I don't feel bad about my hord now. Lol.
I do wish I had a barn or just covered area that I could enclos and have pens in. I like all you mobile pens. If my yard didn't hold so much water I would go with them for a few.
Two new pens that will be joined for grow out will be done this weekend...
Could be either as they are Goldens.
Well my guys get yard time every other day now. Sometimes they get a left over rotisserie carcus to pick through maybe once every two weeks. Thinking of adding kicking chicken to some feed that they'll get maybe twice a week or so.
