Oh and by the way, there's a swap tomorrow morning (Saturday, April 5th) from 9-1 at Tyrone Milling if anyone is nearby :) I will be there with a bunch of olive egger/ easter egger chicks, black copper Marans chicks and hen saddles.
My turkey pen is a swamp at the moment and the chicken coop is mucky but we're all good up here. We did have some crazy flooding at work though. Glendale Lake is 4' above normal level...
I've recently cut back my flock dramatically. I went from around 30 chickens to 15 and 11 turkeys to 7...
I wanted to let everyone know that there will be a livestock swap at the Tractor supply in Huntingdon on Saturday the 23rd, I believe from 9am-1pm. I will be there with black copper Marans chicks, olive egger chicks and turkey poults as well as hen saddles galore. It should be a good sized swap...
If anyone is near my neck of the woods looking for chicks (Ebensburg, Altoona, Prince Gallitzin area) I have lots of black copper Marans and olive egger chicks hatching :)
I've seen them, they're gorgeous! Believe it or not, I still have 1 old, silkie feathered lavender ameraucana hen running around outside. She's either direct from you or one of my first hatches of them.
How about just "Bruises" since they'd be "Black & Blue" lol

I don't know who all is close but the Apple Cider Fest at Prince Gallitzin State Park is this Sunday! I'll be there working but in between checking bathrooms I'll be checking out ask the vendors. There's a lot!
Way too far away from me but have a good time!!
For anyone near Huntingdon or Raystown, there will be a livestock swap on Saturday, September 16th from 9am-1pm at the Tractor Supply in Huntingdon. I'm trying to decide if I'm going or not. There will be a lot of foot traffic as there's going to...
My scaled quail are growing up :) They're looking so cute! They're loving this cage I got for them. They're always running up the ramps to the top level lol
Hope event stayed safe in those storms last night! We had some serious lightning and a tornado warning but there was almost no wind at our house. You can't really hear the continuous thunder in the video but it was just a constant low rumble.
Livestock swap tomorrow morning, 8-5-23 at Tyrone Milling in Tyrone, PA from 9am-1pm (most people fizzle out by 11 or 12 though). We had over 30 vendors last month. It was great!
Lol, welcome from Cambria County! No real highlights reel but @dheltzel is the main Pennsylvania poultry supplier and there's a livestock swap at Tyrone Milling the first Saturday of each month.
