I have someone that contacted me about a few of my young turkey's They mentioned that they have wild Turkey's that range through their property. They are concerned that they may wonder off with the wild turkey's or have conflicts? Anyone have any experience with this? Thank you!
I'm curious if anyone near me raises Guinea fowl, I'm interested in adding them to the farm.
Also if people have had any good success with any particular hatchery.
thanks!

I'm a bit interested? how much is shipping? my biggest worry will be to end up with more males I don't need! my roommate gave one of our girls to a friend who had just a single male drake who was stressed from being alone, so was not at an ideal ratio to start with but my ratio is far off right...
I'm looking for about 3 Ancona girls.
they can be young but I need girls!
color is not important. But I would like ducks with good conformation and not over or under marked, I have a very nice drake and want to continue to improve the quality of my birds.
I live in Silverton, OR and willing to...
I'm looking for a nice young rooster! Our current rooster is old and is a great guy, but are thinking he is no longer fertile.
Temperament is critical good size is helpful since our broody hens raise babies and we process extra roosters.
I live in Silverton and can meet an hour or 2 from...
Okay good consideration. I think we will go with the plywood with vinyl floor covering it and see how it goes. re-build if needed, nothing on my property is flat and a good location for the duck house is somewhat sloped I don't want rain to run into their house which could happen in a hard rain.
yes I was thinking of doing a raised floor. mostly worried about something digging in. Our winters are not brutal. I was worried about them having a dry place as my climate is wet! so that is what I was pondering.
Hello! we have our first ducks!!! they are currently in a quarantine in our barn while we finish our duck house. LOVE Them love them love them!! (Ancona ducks)
we were looking at items we already have around the farm to use and were discussing the idea of using plastic lattice as flooring...
I didn't get pictures last night but she is still with us! eating and drinking. and POOPING we were not sure she was pooping at first. so at this point, all systems go. I'm still amazed, even though we found he alive I assumed she would have organ damage and not survive, but at this point now...
I think she had been stuck the entire time. She was between barn wall and plywood wall, had fallen down into the space about that was only 4-5" in depth and we had trouble reaching her as she was 3' down on the ground in that space, that was about 2' wide.
other than being weak we do not see any...
Thanks for the feedback so far,
I have NO IDEA how she is alive it has been month, I wondered if she has been able to get hold of some mice?? or somehow there was moisture from the ground or meta l wall? or was able to eat any of the eggs she may have laid? I have NO CLUE. She is currently in a...
At least a month ago one of our hens went missing. We looked everywhere we could think of at the time and figured that a predator had got her.
Well while working in our barn the other night we found her and she was ALIVE she was trapped between the wall and some boards (2x4 space)
So we gave...
I would like to avoid shipping eggs, I have a broody and would like to get some eggs for her.
I would prefer good easy going laying breeds RIR BR for example.
