I would imagine so yes, I have just always brought what they have always eaten but I will look into something else. She will be a year in September, she has just started to lay eggs also. OK, I am.off to get some vitamins for her. Thank you so much for your help!
We are in Brisbane, Queensland. I feed them a seed mix, the same thing I have feed them since they came of chick starter and the rest they forage from around the property. She will be a year in September. She sits and walks on her hocks, it's almost like she dosent have the strength to stand up...
Hey guys,
I have this hen that has started walking funny like in this photo! She seems to have not very good balance either. It started off as one leg but I feel it's now 2 legs. These guys free range for 12hrs a day so on a 5 and half acer farm so I don't see them very often so I'm not sure...
That's good that the ducks had no side affects WaterFowlsPoultry. I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing to see if they will eat them, saves me cleaning them up 🤷♀️
Thank you starrponies, I did wonder if that's what they would be because that's what Google kept saying they were but the pictures didn't look the same.
Hey guys,
So I have recently been renovating my chicken coop. I got half way through doing the back part of the coop then I had a sickness in the family so I put it on hold for a couple days. When I have returned today these little guys are all over the sand. Does anybody happen to know what...
Morning chicken Fam.
We have recently moved into a new home which means the chickens are also moving into a new coop! The coop does need a bit of work so I am wondering if you guys have any tip, advice or recommendations. The coop is made up of two parts - the back part is a shed that is fully...
Hey guys,
We have recently had a flooding here in parts of Queensland and I have noticed that the mosquito's are running rampant atm including in the chicken coop. When I went over to lock them up the other night you could see them just everywhere in the nesting boxes. My little rooster ended...
The only other hens I have are the little white ones but they are not even laying eggs yet. The parents of the white ones I only incubated 4 of those as they were entirely a trial run as it was my first time incubating. The time between that incubation and this incubation was a good little while...
I do not. I have pure white ones that I think you might be able to see in the background of one of the other photos. I was told their parents were RIW but they have since died so the little guys are the only ones I have of that breed. But I don't think those are at sexual maturity yet anyway.
Yeah the little dark one is a mixture of red/brown and black and he is the only one in the batch with feathers on his feet (like his dad) which I could tell was definitely from this pairing. It's funny that I am now just leaning that they are not RIR because that's what they were sold to me as...
So these are the photos I was able to get this morning. The ones of the "Babies" are not really clear as we are having wild weather here in Aus at the moment so I have them inside out of the stormy weather. If there is anything you can tell me that would be helpful.
