Well got a glance at Mera's nest. Went out to check and discovered her down on the ground doing the broody buk-buk. No babies. What? Check the nest. Blanche is in it. I threw her out. Eggs moved around a little bit, didn't see any external pips, but also didn't have time to check as Mera slid...
I'm antsy too. I keep going out an poking at her. She doesn't scream at me but does take a swipe. So far, she's glued. I found part of an egg with dead baby yesterday, squished. :(Thinking maybe first to try hatching and she reacted to the movement or one of the others tried to invade... As...
37F this morning...that's something like 2.5C. Unusual to be this chilly. Mera is glued to the nest and I say good. Eggs/babies (no idea which) are warm.

Checked on Mera again....she is NOT...

Birds don't...
That might be reason for the brawl...figuring out who the new one will be. As they're all about the same age (with Dakota younger), it may take some time...and intervening extends the process. Best you can do is make sure no one gets cornered.
I thought you were going for Noon and Midnight? Or Laverne and Shirley....
Ok, more ideas...

Wyatt is closer in pronunciation to wyandottey....he may respond to it....then again....he might be a bit of a "contrary cuss" ...and you'll need to name him that just cause you'll use it so much...
@featherhead007 had another thought on names.
If he likes riding along, go with something related to a motorcycle sidecar. This link has some of the history of sidecars and several names and places are mentioned.
