Every time I go to tsc here in Ada ok they don’t have any chicks. They had four buff Orpingtons one time and they didn’t look too great. But I’ve got 26 healthy little lavender Orpingtons. 👍🏻🐣
As far as getting less aggressive with more hens….doubtful. He’s protecting his girls and whether it’s one or twenty he’s going to be protecting his girls in his little pea brain. Just my opinion.
He looks very similar to a little cockerel that I hatched in 2022. RIR mother x EE father. Wish I had a good pic of him. Super sweet little guy. I sold him at the auction.
Thank you. I have noticed some differences in build and in floof. I notice it in their heads and faces. Some are more narrow. I can keep them as long as I want but will need to do some rearranging of pens. Thanks again.

Hmmm. Interesting. My barred rock roo doesn’t have those brown spots but does get an occasional green/black or white tail feather. He does get dirty from rolling in the dirt for dust baths.
I set up the brooder. I use a pack and play. I put down puppy pads and set up the heat plate which I covered with press and seal. I’ve candled a few today. It’s day 20. Several look like they’re working on an internal pip. 👍🏻🙏 no external pips yet though. Living on the edge of that incubator!
