We have our 6 year old girl, Bubbles, who lays a couple of eggs a week. I think she's a production red. I have a new crop of pullets who almost ready to lay! 3 rhode island reds (all named Gwen after the Spider Man meme), an easter egger named Carol, an Australorpe named Monica, and barred rock...
Thanks. I just adore her and want to add more to my flock. Can't believe someone left her in a box on the vet's doorstep. She'd pecked her way through the box and was running around in the parking lot.
I got a call from my vet... abandoned chicken escaped from box and needs a parent! Here I come to grab her.
Dorothy lays small (maybe 2/3 size of my Wyandotte) eggs. She gets broody, and is the head lady in the flock. She's pretty small and has the featheriest legs!
Got any ideas?
