pray for her burdens to be eased. Even if you can't feel forgiveness right now, you can always redirect your pity into mercy.
Don't mean to upset you, I often want to "fix" things for people.
my birds can't see in front of them or to the sides there is so much fluff. It wasn't apparent how bad it was until they all got startled and ran in all different directions...All bumping into something...so I took a closet look and their eyes were completely obscured :( I just cut a straight...
clipping their rear toe nails when necessary. Trimming their crest/beard if it is too fluffy and restricts vision.
As for feathered feet? Mine range all day long and keep their feet clean by scratching in the grass.
They do a really good job of keeping their froof very well froofed.
I think the biggest threat to you if you have a dog with you is if you come across a moose cow and her calf. Oooh, child! I don't wanna be that person!
I don't know, I'm pretty sure bears can hear and smell a live chicken inside a camper.just the air from the inside of the camper when you open the door. Chickens put off a lot of "scent particles" especially in a closed space.
I've never faced a bear, but I hope that I never have to lol.
also remember that the idea when camping is to NOT draw attention of the local predators to your campsite so as to not have any personal close encounters.
In my opinion, if you bring chickens camping you are endangering the lives of all people sharing the vicinity.
That's an emergency situation...
Just wanted to show a picture of how my coop is where the roosts come close to the walls.
I used 1x2" welded wire for the exoskeleton and put 1/2x1/2" hardware cloth inside, where the roosts come next to the welded wire.
On the bottom 3 feet, I have 1/4x1/4" hardware cloth.
well, many would look down upon someone making a predator someone else's problem by relocation. Also, snakes that are moved very far from where they are taken, don't typically survive long.
