One of my hens now. Even the roosters have trouble seeing! lol
I usually can tell by their attitudes better. Roos tend to be curious and hold their necks out straight as a hen will take off and hid her head in a corner.
You can google the term feather sexing and look at the images. There are two great images that show how to feather sex. I use this when attempting to sex my isbars for myself.
Hello! We have a small flock of isbars as well. Our hens started laying around 5 mths and we are in Ga also. We did keep the lights on for them and fed them laying feed to help.
