Thank you! They have been a labor of love! Please let me know if anyone hears of someone looking for nice quality, well cared for peeps. We have out a lot of time in to them, and theh will be so missed! We are moving September 1st, so I think I have procrastinated long enough! :)
i dont have any recent pictures of the juvies, but they are gorgeous! You can see them in the first picture soet of, but they are at lwlealeast twice that age now ;)
I wish I could post them here. Ive never had any luck posting from my phone onto the BYC forums, i dont think theyrr compatible with my android. Maybe I could send them to my computer and try that way! One frizzled silkie pullet went to her new home today, so that was nice! It is so tough...
I have terrible news! (Well technically it could go either way) we are mocing to portland for my husband's work and have to sell all of our silkies and sizzles. We have been working on these genetics for years! Local and Minkner genetics. We love these birds, but it is far too hotto ship them...
Welcome! We are only about an hour apart, we live in walker county on the other side of Birmingham! We have a small organic and non-gmo raised silkie and sizzle flock :)

i certainly will have to post some pictures of the garden it has kept us broke, homebound and busy, but is doing so well. The entire front yard on one side is sweet corn. We do all hand tilling and plowing. We plant biodynamically when able and organic when not. It's been a lot of fun. It's our...
My goodness it is truly.detrimental to.ones BYC social life to take a week or so off. Hello my friends. Hope all is well! We have been working non stop.in the garden for weeks now! It is looking rather nice and large! Added our first turkey poults a few days ago. Local feed store bourbon reds...
To weigh in on the whole gender thing and temp, it's 50-50 what the gender of a chick will be. I don't think temperature can change an x chromosome into a y. If there was a way to determine hatch gender via heat, everybody would be doing it..that 1 to 5 ratio you're seeing is plain ole bad luck...
