DS fever would not break with ibuprofen, I had to drive and get Tylenol for him. He was at 104.6.... I was in full panic mode. Within 45 minutes of the acetaminophen his fever dropped to 99.2 and he was happy to eat, walk outside, etc.
I have to leave town for work tomorrow, DH is working from...
I use this guide loosely. It's great when i'm being lazy.

There are a few things on my zone that are like "plant this in August" yeah, no. you're dumb. but generally it's a good guide for most plants!
However for my zone this...
For my girls, it's me bringing in the lawn mower bag. I can throw just about anything else into the run, but god forbid that I empty the mower bag into the run. They fly everywhere, crying/screaming, breaking beaks on the hardware cloth.... tattering combs and toe nails. Good lord. it's just...
What's funny is that I call them female dogs, but my DH gets all weird when I call them Chooks. Really? Because chook is somehow worse than "female dogs". :/ hmmmm
I catch my DH outside feeding the um, chickens, we call them *female dogs*.... treats allllll the time. If I lose him, I know to look outside to see... usually he's in his pajamas, feeding them kale or chard through the fence. LOL
He's so sweet, he even asks me if it's too hot before he feeds...
...of being "internet strangers". Cheers and happy fathers day to all of the dads out here. Funny how much us partners love our men. Even if they do the dumbest, most lazy, etc, B*^#$, ever. :P Regardless, the dads give us unending support and love. Lol. No matter how ridiculous our projects can be.
It amazes me how messy chickens can be.
DS still has a high fever. Hanging out at 102-103. Poor little guy. Keeping him inside, which is oddly easy, that's how you know he's super sick. Trying to at least keep him hydrated, feeding him whatever he'll eat. 😞
I got the last of the beans planted...
So, I've grown plenty of California white softneck garlic here. But I want to grow some other softneck, and hardneck varieties that do well here.
I want to grow more flavorful garlic, like roasting garlic varieties. I fell into the internet hole and found lots of garlic... But it's been hard...
I fell asleep last night before I could upload photos. 🥴
Tomato and unknown color of California poppy. I have red, white and orange. I'm thinking those are going to be white.
My oldest remaining clay pot, this one has an unknown color of poppies in it.
The empty space has green beans planted...
I just can't. I think about water in my nose and I start gagging. I tried the netti and almost drowned myself lol.
My DH uses allergy nasal spray.... I tried it once and threw up. Now if I even smell it I start to gag. I'm so sensitive.... it's just not fair.
Today I weeded and weeded my...
I'm up to 4 cucumbers so far. Feels.... Lack luster when you see jars upon jars getting canned already. 🥴😂
I'm so envious of everyone growing asparagus! I'm not and without taking over the front yard, I won't be any time soon.
Today I finally finished the drip line for the pumpkins! Yes...
More garden photos!!! Weather whiplash over here... It was 98 yesterday and 70 today. Supposed to be 72 tomorrow then 90 on Friday. 🤷♀️
Anyway, we've been eating squash from the garden, picking tons of berries, and finally are getting peppers to mature! Woohoo! All of the pumpkins are starting...
I really like MiGardener. He's got a ton of great advice. Because of his advice I've been able to grow huge yields from my raised beds year after year, plus grow all year long! 😁
I've been growing food for a long time but not as efficiently as I have since watching his guides. I don't do...
Been super busy. DS is on summer vacation now. My fridge did that freeze up thing where I can hear the fan hitting the ice. Going to deal with that today. Good thing I haven't been to Costco yet!
My back is slowly recovering! Wooo! Today I got bold and used the hula-hoe for a little bit...
This is my life. 😂 I have lots of plants and no real places to put them.
We are almost finished getting rid of the goat heads... Been getting rid of them for 10 years.
That's a great idea!
We call them goat heads and devil burrs
Mine only want to eat tree leaves....
Everyone needs a hori...
Make sure you get around the whole root ball. It's best to wait until the plant goes dormant for the year. Depending on what kind of sage. I have several that do not ever go dormant, I totally murdered one moving it, a pineapple sage.
ETA: looking back, I think I accidently murdered that plant...
My list is similar, zone 9a here, so not planting cabbage or spinach until late summer. No ground cherry or crook neck squash, and only 'regular' potatoes. But lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, pumpkins, peppers and my garlic will be harvested this weekend! I think about all of the species of edible...
Corn!!
I'm stoked with the progress. Worried about the heat wave we're having ruining all our hard work. 😂 It was 98 here today, supposed to break 100 tomorrow.
I think the clover is going to die.... That's ok, it was an experiment anyway. DH wants to replace it with fake turf.... I don't...
Me too, if he hadn't kept going backwards I would have been hurt much worse. I did lose the car keys in the lake when it happened, came out of my shallow lady trouser front pocket (we need real pockets), but the next day I made a telescoping magnet pole with one of those floor magnets...
