Good point. The hen also of unknown Origins, his sister I assume, looks just like some 50% hens that I own I had just never seen what a 50% peacock looks like.
This spaulding has barring on his back but otherwise looks good his origins are unknown. For spaulding breeders of known origins what is the opinion on %
.
Dad is not just India Blue must be a split or some other male is father. Like it has been said too early to tell but seems to have a large amount of white compared to mom so my guess is male. Future pics please show shoulders from above if possible to look for barring.
From the pics she looks too tan to me to be a plain BS. Now they can get that way just from being dirty but yours are on a wire floor. If no flakes of green on neck especially as she ages she has to be Cameo BS.
I agree better pic would help plus parentage. I am guessing they came from cock that was or was split Purple black shoulder and hen regular black shoulder so hen is purple black shoulder and male is regular black shoulder.
I would follow KsKingBee advice. Wazine won't do anything for peafowl. Safeguard, Valbazen would work better. Also check organs on dead ones to see if spotted that way you can rule out blackhead and look for other problems.
Good luck putting a stop to it.
