Karen,
Are your bantam cochins noisy? I picked up a pair off a lady in Botetourt selling them. He crows nonstop and has faught every one of my roos to the point of blood. Not sure if this is normal bringing a new guy in or not? He is separated from the flock and seems to be hating life...
Not me, that was the original poster. :) I have some FCMs but had never looked at bottoms of feet. I did, however, purchase some Australorp and 2 have ended up with feathered feet...so I thought Id check bottom foot color. Im guessing they are mixed breed, but they are some of my favorites...
Hi all! Still have 2 working hard at it, but here are some that are finished with their rough night. :) As of now, I have 4 boys and 4 girls! So I must have 3 left in th incubator? ?? :)
Any experience to know what age these guys will lay? And are they 21 day incubated or less? I've heard different for bantams? :) And anyone else care to guess on breed?
:) Jami
We are traveling to pick up our son from his Grams house, but when we left this morning 2 more were hatching. I believe that leaves me with 2 yet to hatch. 4 hatched overnight. I need to get some pictures up!! They were all too wet, but from what I could see it was looking 50-50 on boy - girl...
Honestly, for me being a little new at this, I felt it was easier to incubate and watch for veining in a few days than look for a bullseye?! I'm a creature of habit. Never found a bullseye before but totally get the veining now. Hehe...
