What breed preferred, now that's a hard one for us. We love our Easter Eggers, but would like to try a heritage breed such as Dominique or RIR. A mixture of "who knows what" would be an exciting adventure as well. I have 128 mixed quail eggs in the incubator right now (lockdown).

Yes and no. My Ameracauna is always in the coop first and takes the same spot, the others (Marans and a mixed roo) switch around a bit. Sometimes they seem to pick the same spot for a few days before roosting in another spot.
Maybe it's a teleporting black snake, he could visit all our coops tonight. Better put some fake eggs in mine in case he comes back.
