I agree with @thecatumbrella. Sometimes old threads are not finished, but then someone comes along a few years later and adds their experience, and it is really needed, and then others can respond.- triciayoung

I agree with @RoyalChick about the warning note, but I think the note needs to say something like "OP may not respond because thread was started XX". I would not want the warning to infer irrelevancy. Frankly, I find some of the most helpful medical information in older posts. What was a...- triciayoung
