    I have never tried to break a broody. If you want to break her I would leave her crate where she can see the other chickens and be seen by them. That will help her transition back to the flock be smoother. Where are you located? Somebody might be able to provide you with some fertile eggs.

    could be. Three have straight combs and are Lakevelders. I cannot account for one of them. But mutant chick's legs are yellow and these chicks have blackish legs. I also cannot account for the tiny white chick that I got. I know I lost one but for the life of me cannot remember which one.

    1. My local store doesn't carry medicated game bird starter. 2. I am usually feeding turkey poults and chicks at the same time so having just one feed is easier. I don't think Cackle sells Seramas. But you are right, it is a bit "off" lol I have no plans of dispatching the chick...

    If it is then it is a mutant. I have raised lots and lots of turkeys over the past four years and have never seen one look like this! It is very small, even as a chick. And doesn't have the little knob.
