Still planing on setting my 'bator July 31 but the girl i was to get bantam eggs from said hers havent been laying. Its been hot here. Mine are down in production too. Just feeling disapointed really wanted more bantams.
I am setting my incubator July 30th. It will be my second time. First time only 4 of 36 made it with only 4 hatching. A lot of late deaths. I've put my roos in with the hens I want the with and have a couple of friends giving me fertile eggs as well. I'm getting eggcited to say the least...
On day 21, which i planned to be off work and woke up an hour earlier than my work day alarm. Not a pop or peep. When i candeked and locked down there was movement all around. Feeling anxious. My husband saidbits like a first pregnancy, it lasts forever. LOL :pop
They look ok to keep as long as they are healthy and happy. Duel pourpose i believe. I ended up with a dark cornish gen and get 5 med eggs a week from her but she never lays on a sunday.
