update!!
it's been a month now, and it hasn't gotten any worse or better. She acts normal still eats and drinks. She does slightly still walk funny, since her abdomen is still just as swollen and hard.
her stools looked actually completely normal. not liquidy just brown an white. However she is limping. I've looked at other threads and hers doesn't even look too bad it just feel rock hard, though yesterday it felt full of liquid.
It just feels like a very firm water balloon. No troubling breathing, she's actually acting fine eating, drinking, and digging. But it just looks heavy on her if that makes sense.
Last few months have been extremely rough. About four months ago I lost one of my hens. She was around six and always was getting sick so this wasn't a surprise. However, around a month ago another one of my hens a seven year old amercuana has been experiencing severe walking issue's. she isn't...
Update!!
she's still active but can't walk at all. like she just falls completely over. she wants to eat and drink but simply can't. I'm giving her electrolytes and turmeric daily. I just don't know what is going on in order for me to help here.
update!
unfortunately, she's still the same. She won't eat on her own until I feed her. not very sure if she's drinking either. she does go up to roost at night all on her own. Though she is able to walk, after a few steps she starts rocking backwards. Like she walks completely fine no issue...
I just gave her some hen boost/ electrolytes. I'm not sure when the last time she laid was but I'm pretty sure it was quite a while ago. she just is sitting in her own corner rn in the same position like the picture I sent.
yep her feet are completely fine. she just pooped and it was a little more liquid than usual but that was it. her crop was complete empty until I fed her. she just keeps sitting in a weird crouching position and is very wobbly.
not very sure honestly she's still a lil perky but just not as much. I gave her some eggs and she ate one but refused to eat the other. she just isn't walking much and is very wobbly
