Roo Rec's / Would Love Your Feedback

Hey folks, I've got the construction of a new chicken coop underway in which I plan to house about 150 laying hens, a small number of roosters, and the overflow of cockerels produced each year (up to week 20) from the annual hatch. I'll be raising and breeding all six breeds in an effort to...

What to do with too many roos

I've got two newbie questions I'd like to ask of you seasoned chicken folks . . . I'm soon to be starting my own flock and will be getting a few rarer varieties as fertilized eggs that I'll be hatching at our farm. I'm raising my flock primarily for eggs, but I also want to breed my own...

Great Pyrenees Puppies How are they as a family pet?

Quote: Vicky, The point is no one is borrowing anyone's images. I simply posted a link pointing BACK to a photo on the original website on which it resides. I didn't claim it was my photo, imply it was my dog, nor did I keep a copy of the photo. So clearly it wasn't being used to...

Quote: Hey John, I would caution you however about lifting pictures off of private sites, because they are copyrighted, says so right on the site. Vicki: I didn't "LIFT a picture off of a private site," but rather LINKED TO a photo on a PUBLIC site. As you can see from the URL, it's...

Need advice on my new web site

First and foremost, post some beautiful PHOTOS that provide an idea of what the Standard of Perfection is for the breed. The hand renderings on your site are beautiful, but you've got way too many of them, especially given the complete lack of any actual photos of the breed. John

Why hasn't anyone written a Cornish X page? Forget it. I'll will!!!

Quote: Thanks for the clarification. What *I'M* curious about is how long it would take these Cobb700's to reach the same size (8 to 9 lbs) if they're raised organically, grass-fed and free-range. . . . Any ideas? John P.S. Great to see other folks on here from Maine

Why hasn't anyone written a Cornish X page? Forget it. I'll will!!!

...way, it IS possible to buy fertilized eggs of the Cobb700. You just wouldn't grow them out as breeding stock; you'd grow them as broilers. What *I'M* curious about is how long it would take these Cobb700's to reach the same size (8 to 9 lbs) if they're raised organically, grass-fed and...

Quote: He's a handsome boy. The next dog I get (I currently have two, one of whom is getting a little long in the tooth) will be for the same purposes you've got Nugent, specifically as a livestock guard dog who will live primarily outdoors within a fenced-in orchard. I'm leaning toward...

What do I do? I hate my bridesmaid dress

Yes. Your sister's wedding will just be one day in your life that will come and go in the blink of an eye. It'll be the photos of you in that dress and the countless nightmares of you re-living that horrific day, causing you to wake up in a pool of sweat screaming hysterically, that will live...
