Please remember the earlier reply -- IT IS ILLEGAL TO RELEASE ANY PREDITOR ON LAND YOU DO NOT OWN.
It is also disrespectful, dangerous and an insult to the landowner. If you don't want the pest, what makes you think they do?
Going along with what Sourland posted - A Google search found this -
"Chickens, particularly have about 20-30 taste buds, so technically they have, but i doubt they are any use for them.
And if you are wondering, things are even worst when talking about their sense of smell."

I'm having picking/pecking issues with my flock. One 9 week old bird has died! She had the entire rear of her neck pecked out!
I have two groups of hens by age. No roosters.
I have the adults and chicks separated now. The adult picking seems to still be going on. I now have two adults...
Great article! It's completely changed my thought process on this. I have 15 chicks coming from Cackle Hatchery in early April. Got some thinking and reading to do. :-)

Let's see - there's Hermione of course, Lilly Potter, Luna Lovegood, Reita Skeeter, Cho Chang, Jenny Weasley, Molly Weasley. And there was Dumbledore.
Reita now has a two day old peeper that looks like a Blue Orpington and she has 5...
He was from 8 chicks I got from BYC member Kimberly35042. Her Blues are from a very respected blood line. You would have to check with her for details. I don't remember the details.
I have a purebred imported strain English Blue Orpington rooster who is about 26 weeks old and he needs a new home.
He is a gorgeous bird and he takes care of his ladies in every way. Free to a good home with other chickens. Add some significant new genetics to your flock!
This is no...
