The white goose in the last photo is female. Generally the tails on the females tend to be more level as compared to the males whose tails tend to tip up. That has been my observation and to date hasn't failed for me in geese that don't autosex by color. Linda -

Glad to read she is doing well. Did the wound heal? That is the key, that she is not being held forcibly There is a good chance she will stay until at least the wild ones come through and she picke up with a new mate. Job well done. Congratulations Linda -
