    I know most breeds will free range. I've had chickens for a while and grew up with em too. Leghorns are the best free ranging chickens I've had though. Just didn't know if there's any other breed that does it better.

    I like the temperament and broody orphingtongs bring I like colors of Wyandotte I like Speckled sussex... Whiting true blues and greens... Never had a mixed flock. My ocd doesn't know if I can handle that.

    Delawares: Personality. What's your experience?

    I got Delaware birds from ideal poultry I think... years ago. Great birds. Get to a decent size too but slow growing. Never had an issue with them at all. Calm as can be. Roo was awesome too.

    Chickens don't get cold easily. They are fine in the teens.... its cold wind drafts and getting wet and cold that will kill em. Protect from the wind and rain. They are find buried in snow and with snow on the ground.
