OK so I found some images that show a disqualification. You can see the hen is displaying black tickings on the saddle when it should be buff or white cuckoo pattern only.
I think this is a great start but we're not mentioning other key things like weight (8-10 lbs hens, 10-12 lbs roosters) egg weight (Extra Large to Jumbo) egg color (cream). No feathers on shanks or feet. 3 front digits, 1 hind digit on feet. Body type - heavy breed (round / full body, broad...

Great question! Roosters generally mature faster than hens. Average breed of the 350+ breeds, roosters mature at 3 months, hens mature at 6 months. As far as these "uber huhns," I notice roos mature 3-6 months and aren't their full weight until 8+ months, hens mature around 8+ months...

If your Bielefelder isn't laying at 8 months, that means she's a Bielefelder, not crossed with suspected Brown Leghorn, displaying white earlobes. The "Bielefelder crosses" tend to start laying at 6 months, while it is normal for true Bielefelders to start laying passed 8 months...

Hi there Shirley!
We have some Silver Double Laced Barnevelders --- and what's great is they are in the much sought after, super ultra rare STANDARD size, not Bantam. To compare in weight, Bantams are usually 1 pound while Standards are up to 8-9 lbs.
