this was a "gimme" chick and I am having a hard time identifying her the tiny comb and the lack of tail have me stumped and she has dark almost black legs..

Well, we dispatched out BBB today and he weighed 55 pounds and dressed to 43. Biggest dressed turkey I have ever seen. I sure hope he is as good as he looks like he will be we are going to smoke him for Thanksgiving.
final count of 30 eggs..27 hatched one died and 3 failed. It was way too many for the 2 hens so I pulled in 12 to brood inside and left each of them with 7 here are a couple of pics.
So sorry for the babies that didn't make it. It is the worse thing to hold your breath for that long and not have them make it.

For my final count of the 2 broody hen nests I had a total hatch of 27 ..1 died and 3 fails for a whopping 26 babies...
I have great news..I have a ton of babies the last in the Buff hens was zipping and the Plymouth Rocks are starting to hatch. Went out this morning prepared to see a quitter to find 8 had hatched overnight and by the time I had done the morning feed 2 more came along..off to town and back...
I promised pics the first 3 are the Buff Brahma nest and the last one is the Plymouth Rock nest..keep in mind these are all Bantam hens and chicks I really couldn't be happier.
