    An-i-mal! An-i-mal! An-i-mal!

She reminds me of a girl I used to know who would always ask people to take pictures of her butt. She'd also ask how her butt looked a lot. Her cell phone was filled with pictures of her trying on clothes, but from the rear. Her name was Angela, if you are looking for a name for that pretty girl.

A blond, a brunette and a red head go walking into a bar... (PIC)

Your picture reminds me of how happy I am I chose a "No Parking, Tow Away Zone" for my pop door. It was a happy accident. How come it is the brunette that always gets dissed? Show brunette love! Keep the Sebright!

My chickens on ABC's Nightline tonight!!

Let me just say you did a phenomenal job of explaining what goes on. Not sure if you noticed, but you covered health, environment, local ordinances, education and children. Not bad at all! You did an excellent job of introducing a variety of topics/issues without sounding like a freak or...

Warm enough for 2-week-old Bantam chicks?

We have had glorious weather and my girls have been out since their first week. Of course, I check on them a billion times a day and bring them inside at night. I moved their brooder into the coop last night and everyone seemed to be just fine without having a 3 year old peering over them all...

    I need some reassurance . . . UPDATE page 3

I know yours have arrived. But I wanted to add that if you have a long drive from the post office, you may want to bring food and water with you. I'm not sure how much difference getting food and water 30 minutes to an hour sooner is, but it can't hurt.

    Keeping happy neighbors

I went over to my closest neighbor and asked him if he minded if I got a rooster. I've already brought him baked goods and as soon as my girls get geared up, I'll be bringing over eggs. Heck, the turkey I got may end up being for him. He said he'd be happy to slaughter anything. My...

    All aboard-The Flintstone Mobile

You are mocking me with your flat ground and green grass! Great job though. I wish I could have one, the tractor, not just the husband that knows how to figure out the jack thingies.

    space saving feeders

That is how I made mine. I had some flexible rubber stuff that I cut and stapled to a piece of wood to cover the top. Mine is also about 3 feet high and holds almost a 50lb bag of food. I'm fairly tall and don't have much problem pouring in the feed. Although, if I had a little better faith...

    Treats chickens DON'T Like

My big chickens will not touch worms. And I have the fattest worms you've ever seen! You can't touch the ground here without a million popping up. My rooster did like my sausage biscuit. Not sure if he ate any of the sausage, but the biscuit got him flirting with me. My little ones go after...

    Jacking up a shed coop?

I'm contemplating raising my coop off the ground a bit. Would a prefab shed need full support? We built the floor on to the frame of the shed. Just wondering if it is do-able. Not real high, just enough for them to get under and me be able to see them. I was thinking of those concrete...

at what age are roosters able to "cover" a hen?

When do hens start being receptive? My Roo is courting one of my hens for all he is worth. She will NOT submit. She's probably 10 weeks old and basically is benefiting from his generosity and protection, but ain't givin' it up. My 6 week old hen is scared to death of him.

    Over

My precious Doodle Do. Light Brahma, rumor is he is about a year old. (Why are all the broken images LB's? A conspiracy I say!) I have no idea of his quality. But he is a very fine roo.

    Anyone here from N.E. Georgia?

Quote: I lived in Florida since I was 3. I've always wanted to live in the Smokies. Now? The second highest peak in Georgia is over my shoulder. Of course, I never realized that the reason they are called the Smokey Mountains is that if you are on the top of one, you live in constant fog...

I'm getting 5 light Brahma hens tomorrow!!!!! (update with pics.....)

I decided rather late in the game that I wanted a rooster. I drove about 45 miles one way to get a Light Brahma. Since I finished my coop and run I've evicted him from the goat pen and am getting him acclimated to his new run. He is a DOLL! He has one teenage americauna that is glued to his...

Can we have a moment of silence... (Now with pics)

My husband blew out his back BEFORE we started on my coop! Great timing on your part, if I do say so myself. Now drag what is left of you out there and get us some pics! I don't know if you have noticed, you can not say you did something in this forum, without providing proof.

    ZAHBOO'S COOP IS COMPLETED!!!!

You know, I noticed your avatar in the deep litter thread that was above this one and thought to myself. "That is a neat little coop." Turns out, the next thread was this one. Great job! I don't know if you have a craigslist around you, but you could probably get some materials for the run...
