    I'm a first grade teacher and our first baby at school hatched today. I know wing sexing doesn't work in all breeds, but if it did for this one, she'd be a girl. I'm curious if anyone has an idea about breed? I'm sure she's a mix but I am clueless about breeds. She has feathered feet.

    So confused

    I know hens can stop laying during winter, molting, etc. but this confuses me. My BCM laid her very first egg on Dec 5. She then laid 2 more, and hasn't laid one since. Why even start and then stop? Lol. She's about 7/8 months old.

    First Colored Egg!

    Got my first colored egg today, a beautiful light green from my sweet Licorice! She's my first Easter Egger to lay. Up to 4 hens laying now. All the others lay different shades of brown. The last picture is hers next to my Naked Neck's egg.
