Look at the saddle feathers. They're old enough that the pointy cascade is showing. The other is, I think, a moulting tail feather as most of the rest are growing in under it. That one's a pullet.
That last pic my phone took as a motion pic (so 2-3 second video). What posts seems to be the end of the video. I went back to it and played the motion....Screenshot this (haven't figured out how to turn earlier second to a pic)the scrape

Frequently yes. In this case....he'd been pecking at the ground around it, looking for choice things for Havoc, I think, so it was a single swipe down rather than the wipe each side. Like the dust bathing beak scrape
Here's a different pair for you
Right after. He scraped my shoe with his beak: hey! Move! Havoc wants something there!
(No peck, firm enough to feel, gentle enough a child wouldn't freak unless just because he touched)
Most of these are iffy, but the video imbeds for what they sound like are fascinating...and a few are very viable as names if you want to stick with the instrument theme (Ocarina, Janzen for the inventor of the hydro thing, Erhu...)

I love the diverse and similar aspects of everyone here! Music has such a range and brings out such fun and different reactions!
Cockerel taxthis is Hawthorne. At 10 weeks, he's about as tall as Storm, my lead hen who's a cuckoo marans x cream legbar x blue laced wyandotte. He's also a chunky boy.
Shad's ratio is something like 3-5 per roo, but that's ranging. My set up is similar except I have 1 large coop, not a series of small coops for individual groups. I don't know of that's the reason for the fluidity between hens (A, B, and C go off together with roo 1. F and G join them. B...
